Countertops are the surface everything else is judged against. A great slab installed carelessly — wide seams, chipped edges, a sink cut a quarter-inch off — undermines the whole room. We template, fabricate and install countertops with the tolerances the material deserves.
Choosing the material
Quartz is the workhorse: consistent pattern, non-porous, no sealing, hard to stain. Granite brings natural variation and heat tolerance; quartzite is the showpiece natural stone that balances beauty with durability; marble is gorgeous and demanding — we're honest about what living with it takes. Butcher block and solid surface have their places too, usually as accents.
Florida sun matters: some materials and finishes fade or haze in a kitchen that takes afternoon light. We'll steer you toward slabs and finishes that hold up on your windows, not just in the showroom.
Templating, fabrication and installation
Installation happens in three steps. First the template — after cabinets are set and the sink and cooktop are on site, so every cutout matches reality. Then fabrication, where edge profiles, cutouts and seams are laid out to minimize visible joints. Then the install: cabinets reinforced where needed, slabs set level, seams filled color-matched and tight, and undermount sinks mounted square.

Quartz or granite — which is better?
For most kitchens, quartz: consistent, non-porous, no annual sealing, nearly stain-proof. Granite wins on heat tolerance and natural character. The right question is how you cook — hot pans straight from the oven favor granite; low-maintenance favors quartz. We'll match the material to your habits.
Why does the countertop come after the cabinets?
Because fabrication is measured from the installed cabinets, not the plans. Templating after the cabinets are set means every cutout, overhang and seam matches the room as it actually is — not as the drawings hoped it would be.
Will there be a visible seam?
Usually at least one on larger runs, but a well-placed, well-filled seam disappears at arm's length. Seam locations are part of the layout we review with you before fabrication — over the dishwasher, not across the middle of your island.
Can you replace just the countertops and keep the cabinets?
Often, yes — if the cabinet boxes are sound, level and worth keeping. We'll check the condition of the tops and the cabinet structure first, since a new stone top on failing cabinets is money in the wrong place.
